Hello and welcome back to my blog! Today I wanted to share with you all the two, year-long reading challenges that I want to participate in this year! My whole goal for 2019 is to keep calm and read what I want to read when I want to read them, so I am taking all of these challenges on a low-key level.
So lets get into it!

The first challenge is the Year of the Asian challenge which is hosted by,
- Lily from Sprinkles of Dreams
- Vicky from Vicky Who Reads
- CW from The Quiet Pond
- Shelea from Shut Up, Shelea.
The whole premise of this challenge is to read as many books written by Asian authors as you can! As I don’t want to push myself too much, my goal is just to reach the first badge, which is this adorable Philippine tarsier badge (1-10 books)!

Although I hope to read more than 10 books by an Asian author, I don’t want to commit to anything just to make things stress free for me this year.

The second challenge that I want to participate in is the Historical Fiction Reading Challenge which is hosted by Passages to the Past!
This reading challenge is dedicated to reading any type of historical fiction! Again, I am just aiming for the lowest level which is the 20th Century Reader (2 books)! While I already know I will surpass this challenge level, (I’ve already read 2 historical fiction books this year 😆) I’m not going to commit to anything higher.
I am super excited to be participating in these two challenges! All of my update for these challenges will be included in my monthly wrap ups. I thought about updating them separately but, I wanted all of my updates to be in the same space.
Are you participating in these challenges or are you thinking about joining them? What other challenges are you participating in?
Talk to me in the comments!
Until the next post,
📚Angelina📚
Angelina! Thank you so much for joining us this year in YARC2019! I hope you have a fun and stress-free year reading Asian literature, and I look forward to seeing what books you decide to read! I hope you have a wonderful reading year. 💛
